But if you wanna mess with it, you have to get a span around the opening quote and then give it a negative left margin. The trick is using JavaScript to get the exact pixel width of the quote mark and then use that number (probably minus a few px) to set the negative margin. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That&#039;s about all there is to it, but I was thinking of figuring out a way to make it all automatic so you don&#039;t have to manually mark up all your punctuation.&lt;/p&gt;
